5 Thoughts for today

1. Communication is a good thing. And it is definitely cool to talk things over with others, because we can only see part of the picture ourselves. I think that's why God established the Church, and why relationships are so important to life. brainstorming is cool too, and fun.

2. I've been getting all excited about buying a new mac towards the end of the semester. But presently I've been reminded by Jim that I should wait until I get a job first. I'll probably be provided with a computer for studio use, and likely won't need too powerful of a computer for home use..... wise advice. but I still waaant one.

3. Bone is freakin awesome. Tis a graphic novel I'm reading now, and I must say the best part is that I have no idea what's coming next, unlike LOTR or Narnia where so many people have read it before me. I love Bone, such a good story, so funny. Dan, you are my hero.

4. I'm at the part in Job where God begins to speak. It's a challenging book to read, but this makes it all worthwhile. Still not sure what I think of Elihu; he's right about God more often then the other three, but he still misjudges Job, and he's pretty arrogant. Additionally neither Job nor God Himself talk about the guy.

5. So my girlfriend's dad seems to like me. He's the one who's been inviting me to all of the family get-togethers, which is really cool. I'm quite stoked about that. He doesn't talk too much though, and mostly in chinese. hmmmmm, maybe I should bring back the high five. yeah, definitely the high five.

think I'll play you a song from Bedouin SoundClash.

When The Night Feels My Song

I'm on the rocky road,
Heading down off the mountain slope,
And as my steps echo (echo) louder than before.

Another day is done,
Say good-bye to the setting sun,
See what i found, turn back to the ground just like before.

Hey hey heeeyyy, hey hey hey (hey!)
HEY Beautiful Day (hey! hey!)
HEY Beautiful Day.
Heeeeeyyyy, hey hey hey (hey!)
HEY Beautiful Day (hey! hey!)
HEY Beautiful Day.

When the night feels my song,
I'll be home, I'll be home.

Into the yonder grove,
Twist and turn on a lonley road.
In the twilight the day turns to night and i'm alone.
And when the light has left,
I'm not sure of my every step.
Follow the wind that pushes me west back to my bed.

Hey hey heeeyyy, hey hey hey (hey!)
HEY Beautiful Day (hey! hey!)
HEY Beautiful Day.
Heeeyyy, hey hey hey (hey!)
HEY Beautiful Day (hey! hey!)
HEY Beautiful Day.

When the night feels my song,
I'll be home, I'll be home.

When the night feels my song,
I'll be home, I'll be home.

When the night feels my song,
I'll be home, I'll be home.

look in your cantonese book, i think theres a section on gf's dad etiquette. Said something about a low five pat on the bottom with a typical loud cantonese "wai a Bah!....deem ahh?"

try that one out mike...youll earn at least 10 brownie pts for it and its not that hard to pronounce.
